Performance Group B

Colin, Josh, Jake, and Ricardo (plus the absent Juliana and Christian) are “Group B”. We must come up with a better name than “ Group B”. Perhaps “Blood Group B” ?

First monitored session kicked off on Monday with tutor Chris O’Connor explaining the ground rules, and presenting the Rhythm Pyramid. Fun attempt to two rhythms at once 2 on 3 and 3 on 4. Tricky, I thought. (Remember: "Salt and Pepper" and " Pass the goddam butter") ... Followed by trying to magically make a metronome disappear with only a small measure of success.

Pretty straight into a jam session then, with Colin on Guitar, Josh on Piano, Jake on Drums (and a bit of acoustic gat, and Ricardo on synth.

Played with a chord progression E -> A7 -> E -> A7 -> C-> D -> E. Sounded ok for a first Jam, I thought. Look forward to doing it again tomorrow...
